The business of Suliman Jooma & Son was established by Mr. Suliman Jooma in 1918.
He was joined in the business by his only son Hassim Suliman in 1935. Over the years he was joined by his son Sikander in 1966. and Haroon Hassim a Chartered Accountant, in 1975 and thereafter in 1982, Siraaj Hassim who is today responsible for the hawker and retail business of Suliman Jooma.
Today Suliman Jooma & Son run a wholesale and retail outlet based in the Asiatic Bazaar in Pretoria. Over the years the business has developed into school wear specialists, selling merchandise mainly sourced from South African manufacturers, catering for most of the schools in the country, including Botswana, Lesotho and Swaziland.
Apart from school wear, we are also well-known for shoes, ladies wear, mens wear and baby wear. Some of the brands that we sell are: Allwear, Toughees, Trustees, Buccs, Monitor, Docleys, Dickies and our very own brand – Suljom.
